Editorial Standards

My hope is to include other colleagues and experts* that offer unique perspectives on the intersection of mental health, social justice, politics, and spirituality.

*I’ll leave the definition of “Expert” intentionally vague, as expertise is acquired in a number of ways, not always an advanced degree.

My vision for this site is that it is a place of positive inspiration for the reader, educational, encouraged, uplifted, maybe a little challenged.

Articles submitted to stubbornhope.com should be:

  • Well researched: While the content on this site reflects our personal views that have been formed via our unique life and clinician experience, claims should be supported with actual evidence from credible sources. All sources must be cited.

  • Thoughtful: include different/opposing perspectives within your article

  • Build up instead of tear down: positive “ripple” effects

  • Humble:

  • Must end with a small call to action.

  • What else?

  • I reserve the right to request changes before publishing.
